Be like water.
Hi, I'm Ryan Cox.
I spend most of my time professionally at the intersection of healthcare operations and AI, figuring out how technology actually gets implemented in clinical environments where the stakes are real and the workflows are complicated.
I'm a two-time healthcare provider founder and an applied technologist who has spent several years building AI-powered systems that helped families access care faster. Much of my work has been in behavioral health and I’ve found applications to the broader healthcare system that are valuable for all of healthcare support and administration. My work with low code and AI was recognized by Gartner, is referenced in earnings calls of public companies, and ended up on the main stage at Appian World. What I’ve accomplished with some great technologists and clinicians in the past few years is just the beginning. I’m also focused on building sustainable, positive impact using AI that creates better outcomes for stakeholders in healthcare and elsewhere especially patients and professionals. I’m proud to say that my work has measurable impact on commercial success and clinical outcomes.
I write here occasionally about healthcare AI, about building things, diving, and about whatever else I’m doing that I think is worth sharing.
Outside of my work, I train for endurance races, search for delicious food around Southern California with my family, and dive with friends when time allows.
You’ll notice a jump in my posts between some intensive dive photography I did back in 2022-2023 and now. During that time, we’ve been raising our daughter and I built many of the things that you might see in the media about me today. I’m hoping to get back into writing in 2026 while I continue to create impact in my work. Stay tuned, and reach out if I can help.
